Editions & Sources

How this site quotes: which editions, on what terms, and where the links go.

דרך הלימודHow Texts Are Brought

Every citation on this site is quoted כלשונו — as written in the edition named below, with its reference beside it. Nothing is paraphrased and presented as the text itself; where a summary or identification is the author's, it is marked as such.

Where the sources disagree, the machlokes is brought, not flattened — the reader sees the shittos side by side. These pages are maps of the sugyos for learning; none of them is a psak, and nothing here replaces a rav or a poseik.

Each reference links to a digital copy of the text so it can be checked in one click. The link is a convenience for verification — the quote on the page stands on the edition it names.

גישה דיגיטלית וזכויותDigital Access & Credits

Digital texts of the editions above are accessed via the open library at sefaria.org; each reference on this site links to the corresponding digital page. Several of those digital editions are released under Creative Commons licenses — this page is the site-wide attribution for them.

Photographs in the nature guides come from Wikimedia Commons and iNaturalist under Creative Commons licenses (see each caption); living taxonomy from GBIF. Zmanim are computed locally in the browser. Audio in the trup lab is measured from the recordings credited on that page — nothing is synthesized in the name of a mesorah.
